Even more new reports in your ULU dashboard!

The reports offer in your ULU dashboard has increased even further! A few weeks ago, we added the fuelling- and CO2-reports, which give you more insight into the consumption and emission of your car (fleet). In addition to this, two other reports have gone live recently:
- Parking: an overview of all parking actions, including parking time and costs. This can be broken down based on rit mode (private, commute or business).
- Driving behaviour: an overview of the average acceleration, speeding, braking and idling scores. View how you or your drivers have performed during any time period.
This way, you get even better insight into the data that is collected in your ULU dashboard!

Better insight in your ULU History

As you know, ULU tracks al your driving, parking and tanking
actions. These are saved in your History. To give you better insight into this
information, we have added a new feature: You can split these actions and only view those you would like to see!
Choose which information you would like to display in your
History: the trips only, or just your tanking or parking actions. Besides this,
it is possible to display this information based on trip mode (private,
business, commute). This way, you are able to display the information that is relevant for you!

New possibilities for your map display

The view of your vehicles and drivers on the map is even
further optimised! Each vehicle is given a label, which could already be
adjusted to either show the license plate or the name of the driver. But sometimes
there are so many vehicles, that the map becomes over-crowded with labels:
Therefore we have a new setting that allows you to hide these. When you select hide labels, the location of your
vehicles will be represented with a dot only. You can still find the vehicle or
driver by searching them with the search bar, which makes localising them still
very easy!
Another new function allows you to temporarily “turn off” users.
This could for example be useful when one of your employees is on holiday or will
not be on the road for some time. To do so, go to users and find the relevant person. Click on hide on map to make the person invisible. Click on show on map to make the person appear
on the map again.

New reports: Fuel & CO2

As ULU driver, you gain access to loads of data about your
car and driving behaviour. Through reports, the platform aims to make this data
comprehensible to you as a user. To make even more data accessible, we have
added two new reports: Fuel and CO2.
The first report gives a clear overview of the fuel
consumption per car and individual trip. This way you gain more insight into
the fuelling costs of your own car and/or your entire fleet. The CO2-report
shows the data of your emission, for both cars and individual trips as well.
These reports make the consequences of good (and bad) driving behaviour more
tangible, which might help you reduce costs in the future!

Geofencing is live!

The ULU platform has a new feature: Geofencing! As the name suggests, is a Geofence a virtual boundary surrounding a geographical area. With the use of GPS an area of interest is created, with which you can measure when a connected device enters or leaves this zone.
With ULU you can make use of Geofencing to receive notifications whenever a vehicle crosses the boundaries of a specified area. To do so, go to the map within the ULU platform. Click on the map on the location where you would like to create a Geofence and select "Create Geofence".
After this, you can further adapt your Geofence. Indicate how large you would like the area of interest to be by inserting the amount of kilometers of the radius. Furthermore, you can select whether you would like to receive notifications whenever a vehicle enters and/or leaves the Geofence. After you created your Geofence, you can find it in your list of Points of Interests.

Here Maps

The ULU
platform has transferred from Google Maps to Here Maps!
From now on,
live car tracking and traffic information in the ULU platform will be supported
by Here Maps. This is a new maps and navigation tool especially designed for
car drivers. The design is similar to Google Maps, allowing its users to view
routes in either map or satellite mode. Furthermore, it also shows live traffic
information, as well as recent traffic accidents within your surroundings.
The main
reason for ULU to choose for Here Maps, is the more accurate recognition of
speed limits. Some roads have applied dynamic speed limits, having different
speed limits during the day than after working hours. Google Maps did not allow
for recognition of these different speed limits, but with the implementation of
Here Maps we can offer our users the most accurate traffic information.
Because of
this switch, there are some small changes in your ULU platform:

First of
all, you can select which vehicles you would like to view in the drop-down menu
in the left top corner of your screen. Here you can indicate whether you would
like to see all your vehicles, or only those that are parked, moving or have
errors.

Apart from
searching your cars based on driver, vehicle or license plate, you can now
search by Point of Interest and current location as well. You can still do so
by using the search bar in the right top of your screen.

The platform
now provides you even more options to alter the display of your map. You can
change the view with the menu in the right bottom corner of your screen. Here
you select the view you prefer: you can choose for a satellite view and let the
map show the actual traffic conditions.
If you have
any further questions regarding this switch, do not hesitate to contact us. We
would very much like to explain our new feature to you!

New options for vehicle overview available

Ever wanted
to compare the cars within your fleet on specific features? Or ever wanted one
clear overview of all the mileages, or any other piece of information about
your cars? ULU now provides you the opportunity to do so.
Within the
ULU platform you can check all the details of the cars in your fleet. You can
find all the actual information about mileages, fuel status, required
maintenance and much more. ULU has made this information even more accessible
for you by providing a table with information of all your cars. You can select
the information you would like to see (e.g. fuel status) and the platform will
show you a table with the details of all your cars. Keeping track of your fleet
in ULU is now even easier than before!

Adjust permissions for user roles

ULU has
advanced its options for the user roles, allowing Admins to specify user’s
permissions within the ULU dashboard.
The ULU platform
contains different options for different user roles. As a Fleetadmin has more responsibilities
than a regular user, this user role has more permissions within the system as
well. A Superadmin however, has full control over all the cars and users. This
way ULU can be adapted according to the various functions the people within a
company have.
To give our
users more flexibility, we have added the possibility to edit the permissions
for each user separately. There are still 3 default settings: Driver,
Fleetadmin and Superadmin. Once you have chosen one of these user roles, you
can change the settings for the individual user, and choose whether this person
gets access to specific possibilities within the ULU platform. This makes it
easier for you to edit your accounts according to your own wishes!

Even more precise driving score calculations!

To give our
users an even better insight into their driving performance, ULU has recently
improved its calculations of the driving scores.
Each trip,
the driver gets a score for driving behaviour during the ride. This way you
know how you performed with respect to acceleration, braking, idling and
speeding. ULU automatically calculates your average score per individual trip, but
also for all your trips per week, per month and even per year. This allows our
users to know exactly how they performed over time.
In order to
provide drivers the best estimate of their driving behaviour, we improved the
system, which allows the application to make even more accurate calculations.
You will now get an even more exact estimate of your score, and therefore even
better feedback to your driving performance. No more excuses to keep you from
driving the best you can!
Improving
driving performance has several advantages. You will not only be a more
responsible driver, but it will also save you fuelling and maintenance costs of
your car. Did you know that the average driving scores by ULU drivers is 78? Although
that is already pretty impressive, there is more than enough room for
improvement. A chance to put these new performance calculations into use and
boost the scores to 100!
